I've got SpeedFan on my UBCD4Win boot disc. Great program.

HD Tune shows the temp of your HD (they say it doesn't work with some drives). It can be configured to auto-run and display temp in the tray so you can monitor it real-time (can't spare the RAM to do that, myself).
