December 22, 201014 yr Could barely see it through a thin cloud layer, all the reddish tones of the penumbra were filtered out. Totally spoiled the effect.

December 23, 201014 yr Awesome picture! Is that an honest-to-goodness time lapse photo or - you know If you haven't you should, take an Astronomy class. I decided to take a 110 (intro) and the additional lab (112) at a local college - tough classes but really learned a lot. There was mostly math, math, and more math, but we did go onto the school roof a few times.
