Administrator Tarun Posted December 21, 2010 Administrator Posted December 21, 2010 Who all got to see the lunar eclipse last night? Quote
James_A Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 Nope, too much cloud. That'll be a total eclipse of the total eclipse, then. . Quote
greenknight Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 Could barely see it through a thin cloud layer, all the reddish tones of the penumbra were filtered out. Totally spoiled the effect. Quote
Administrator Tarun Posted December 22, 2010 Author Administrator Posted December 22, 2010 Updated my first post with a really cool time lapse photo of the eclipse. Thanks to my friend Apex on Facebook who spotted this pic on Reddit. Quote
0_0 Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 Awesome picture! Is that an honest-to-goodness time lapse photo or - you know If you haven't you should, take an Astronomy class. I decided to take a 110 (intro) and the additional lab (112) at a local college - tough classes but really learned a lot. There was mostly math, math, and more math, but we did go onto the school roof a few times. Quote
Administrator Tarun Posted December 23, 2010 Author Administrator Posted December 23, 2010 Mentioning that class reminds me, I should put Stellarium on a computer here at the house. Quote
