An important update has been applied to the Lunarsoft Forums. This update includes numerous fixes including fixes to the editor used here on the forums. It is strongly recommended to clear your cache to ensure you get the updated files. I have also gone through and optimized the png images once again which is another reason to clear your cache. Trying to give users the best performance and optimal load times when visiting the forums and website. The changelog can be seen here.

As some of you may have seen over the past few days a new theme has been cropping up on the frontpage. This was a much needed update to help resolve issues with our frontpage system. The previous theme we were using unfortunately had issues with news and content display. For example, page 15, 16, 17, and 18 could point to page 11. This was because of several broken items with the previous theme. This new theme has a crisp, clean look and feel to it and has been customized a bit to match the style of the forums. Several extensions have been updated on the Lunarsoft Wiki. Including a WYSIWYG editor and a special code highlighter. Anti-spam features have been improved, including: Bad Behavior AbuseFilter AntiSpoof SpamBlacklist Better CAPTCHA User registrations had to be disabled due to the excessive amount of spam registrations. Now that anti-spam has improved significantly, in the coming weeks the wiki will be reopened for user registration.

The Lunarsoft Wiki has had the user list cleaned. A multitude of spammer accounts that were blocked have been purged from the database. Soon I'll look into reopening the wiki for user registration. If you'd like a wiki account please let me know.

An issue was recently brought to my attention about how the Lunarsoft Facebook page was not properly posting news. After some investigation this issue has now been resolved and news will be automatically shared on Facebook once more. This issue did not have any effect on Twitter posts, however. Follow Us! Over the past several days I have reviewed the performance of the Lunarsoft Forums. Upon reviewing the network activity and how resources are loaded I have gone through and optimized the loading of all the Lunarsoft resources. The number of requests on the page has been lowered and over 30KB has been removed from the page loads. The page load times on test are down from 1.5s to 1.1s. While not much to a single person just consider the number of spiders and guests who also browse the site. The Lunarsoft frontpage software has been updated to the latest version. Please report any issues. Feedburner has been removed from the Lunarsoft frontpage.
