Hello, I am looking for a PDF reader-something that will automatically read a PDF when I click on it. I want the least bloated and most simple download that wont slow down my computer. Any suggestions and a link for a freeware version? I dont need anything fancy, just a simple reader. Thanks!

Since my trial of Perfect Disk ended, I have been using Disk Keeper lite, only thing is, it has an annoying nag screen when you start it up, trying to get you to buy the full version. Anyone know how I might disable this? I assume I have to change a registry entry from 1 to 0, but would not know what one.

Has anyone else had trouble getting ad-aware updates lately? I am having trouble at the moment, have not experienced this for quite a while. Looks like I am going to have to download and install the updates manually. Just wondered if it was just me or global.

Being relatively new to computers ( a job and 4 grandchildren don't leave a lot of time! ) I always worry in case I ask a question with a really obvious answer. Anyway- I used to have sound forge 7 when I was working out how to make ringtones. The novelty wore off, the 30 day trial expired, and I uninstalled. However I kept the link for the download. The other week someone asked us to make one for them and I clicked on the link and downloaded the software again. To my surprise it let me have it even though during install it said you already have some files on your hardrive shall we overwrite them? ( I did uninstall correctly ) 1. How do they apply the 30 day only a…

I have never heard of this before, so i thought I would give it a mention. There is a little program made by Microsoft called TweakMP, which gives users of Windows Media Player 9 the option to use some of the features of WMP 10, as well as adding a few extra options to WMP 10. Read about it here. Download here. I know some users of WMP did not upgrade to 10 because they did not like it, so perhaps this could be a good way of using some of the extra features of WMP 10.

If I am writing an e-mail in which I want to include several links, what is the best way to do this? If I include a link which I got by going to a web page, -edit-copy- then paste it into the e-mail, there is no problem. However if I want to put in another link, obtained the same way into the same e-mail, when I do edit-paste all it does is paste the link of the first one I did. :D

Looking for comments on a-squared and Spyware Doctor, never used these before tonight, thought I would give them a try after seeing them mentioned on CCleaner forums. Done the usual scans of MSAS, Ad-Aware, Spybot S&D, and ewido, then ran a-squared and Spyware Doctor. However, a-squared seemed to through up 1 false positive, and Spyware Doctor threw up 8. At least I think they were false positives, this is what they said were bad: Found by A squared igfxtray.exe Trojan-Dropper.Win32.Paradrop.a (I don't believe igfxtray.exe is a trojan). Found by Spyware Doctor Affiliated with Browser Hijackers C:Documents and SettingsOwnerFavorites~on the run -…

When you have an Office 2000 program such as Excel open and you click File, Edit, View etc, you don't get the full list drop down, just the most recently used options, with a little arrow at the bottom that you click to see all the options. How do I change it so that all the options are on display straight away?

Do you know others who are interested in trying out Windows OneCare? We are now at the point where we would like to expand our group of beta testers. We encourage you to extend Windows OneCare beta invitations to your friends and family. Just have them go to http://beta.microsoft.com/, sign in with their Microsoft® Passport Network credentials, type in OneCare (case sensitive) when prompted for the guest ID, and follow the instructions from there. Basically do this: Go to http://beta.microsoft.com Enter the GuestID of OneCare Wait for an email.
