Where can my kids get some animated emoticons for MSN Messenger? One of them tried being clever by getting some today, but managed to get MyWebSearch thrown into the bargain. Maybe some of you guys can give us some pointers as to a safe place to get them from.

I finally took Tarun's advice and gave Ewido a try. It found 483 tracking cookies on my computer! This despite the fact I have MSAS, AdAware, Spybot S&D, and SpywareBlaster, and use CCleaner to clear cookies after every browsing session. The other users had more cookies than I did, but I still had a lot. No wonder the Internet seemed a little laggy. 483. I'm in shock.

I just want to say thanks to Tarun! I LOVE this anti virus, and its only been a little bit, but things seem a bit smoother, i love the look and feel of it, and unless disappointed by something within the next year, i plan to buy this program when my year trial expires. Thanks DUDE!

Ok, i had avg. it found a virus/trojan in a file i had downloaded off of the net (ironically, it was a book on hacking :eyeroll: ). anyways, i moved it to the virus vault. then i downloaded ewido. ewido found 2 trojans. i then got rid of avg and downloaded etrust and scanned as part of the set up. it didnt find the trojans that avg and ewdio found, but it did find 4 items that are actually a program called "l2fix" in a folder on my external drive. that file has been there for a long time and has been scanned by numerous virus scanners-no problem. so what gives? why conflicting findings from 3 different programs? just an observation.

G'day folks, was just after some clarification from you FF officiando's. From what I've read here and on other forums is that FF's mem sig is way smaller than anything out there (I only mean the major browsers) and faster and better, yada, yada, yada..... If this is the case can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong (or right) to have Opera use less resources than FF? (see image) The top part is both browsers loaded, with no page displayed. The bottom shows both browsers with Lunarsoft loaded. Unless my eyesights failing, it seems as though Opera has a lower mem sig than FF. Oh, and for comparison, neither browsers have plug-ins. Soooo, any e…

I see there is a nice new improvement to Tarun's HijackThis Converter, malicious items are now coloured red. That should make things easier for people who only really want to remove the malware whilst leaving all the rest of the crap that could be deleted there. Maybe you should have a pinned topic Tarun, regarding improvements that you make to Tarun's HijackThis Converter.

I need a font viewer that will allow me to put a sample of text in, and have the results displayed in a list, with each line of the list being the next font available. I have tried Advanced Font Viewer from http://www.styopkin.com/, it almost does what I want, but it will not display all the available fonts, instead it substitutes what should be displayed with a message stating that it is an un-registered version of the program. It also has an annoying nag window pop up every so often. It does, however allow you to change the size of the displayed sample which is another feature that I would want. Anyone know of anything better?

Aim Ad Hack is a program written by two guys who hate aims ads and other bundled software that is installed with aim. It is completely clean of viruses, malware, software (ive scanned with everything in your pc mantience site) and is an amazing program. Right now, it supports Aim 5.9 and the Aim Beta Triton 8.8 . New Ad Hacks are released for the Triton beta alwase within two days of a new version from aim released to public. It is a single instalation file that you download from their site, you install the ad hack and the file automatically installs aim for you. !DO NOT INSTALL AIM AND THEN AD HACK! The Triton Ad Hacks have become my favorite program. It is also com…

My workmate will finally be taking his first computer home soon, which we have had in work for some time, since I upgraded from ME to 2000, but with a few problems along the way. What I would really like to do is make some sort of restore disk, so that if he breaks it, I can get it back to it's current state easily. Can anyone recommend some software that will allow me to do this (freeware).
