I must say, Microsoft seems to be wising up. Its sleeker and the viewing area is huge, basically the same as my FF. Its got cool features that are right on the browser and looks great so far. Im not sure about all the technical stuff yet, doubt i ever will be. But it looks as if they are taking some lessons and hints from FF and Safari. What does everybody else think? Personally, ive got new respect for them. )corjello(

I hadn't realized there was a free version of BitDefender, then I found out about BitDefender 8 Free. It's a scanner only, and I was thinking it might be a good addition to my layered-freeware security setup. Anybody familiar with it? Got any opinion?

Hey everyone... check out this app... It allows you to easily modify the registry, so you can determine which programs are activated at startup. It has a simple interface, is super-tiny (59KB), and installs in seconds. There are two versions, one which creates a Control Panel Icon, and another that is a standalone application (that one is about half the size). I've had an awesome experience with it, it works perfectly, definitely cutting down on the time needed to boot up my PC (ever since I built it, the boot times have been getting slower... and slower... and slower...). The only problems I've had is sometimes, it looks like the "Disable" function do…

First you will need to download mIRC, you can get it from here. you will need to choose the closet location to where you live. http://www.mirc.com/get.html after you download mIRC open it up and follow the instructions from the mIRC v.6.16 install wizard. http://tinypic.com/kdl7de.jpg enter your information in the fields provided to include a valid email address. I recommend using a nick name as the full name for privacy. The nick name is what you wish to be known as while logged into mIRC. You must also pick an alternative nick name in case your first nick name is already being used. next you need to add orobas.ny.us.delinked.us on port 6667 a…

i would like to know what you all think is the best web designing programs. I want to get a freeware version, and if necessary will purchase a commercial one. So what is the best freeware, what is the best commercial, how do they rank against eachother, and what is their ease of use? I dont want to experiment with more than one freeware and one commercial (especially due to the cost). Thanks all! :shocking:

Guide: Firefox load tweak This information is available around the net... First you need to download firefox web browser, it's free and better than IE. 1.Open a new browser window. Type “about:config” into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries: network.http.pipelining network.http.proxy.pipelining network.http.pipelining.maxrequests Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading. 2. To alter an entry, right-click on it, and select toggle. Alter the entries as follows: Set “network.http.pipelining” t…

Hey again, just me with some more annoying questions Like I've said in some of my other posts, I'm reformatting and completely starting from scratch. I'm backing up all my important documents and photos, and reformatting the whole system. I have three questions which are somewhat troubling me. I've done some research into what the good freeware programs seem to be and I've tested many of them on my computer at home. After doing this research, I made a list of programs which I'm going to install after the format In order to complete my list of programs to reinstall on my computer (the list I was talking about) I'm seeking your advice on the following programs: Qu…

Does any regulars here use virtual drives on their computers? A long time ago i had one, which was recommended to me by my cousin (now works with network security) and i have no idea what it was called. I dont feel like bothering him for a name, so i figured i would try here. I found this one, http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/announcements.php but i simply dont know if it is good or not. Any suggestions? )corjello(
