The last few times I ran spy bot the results showed: windows security center.antivirus disable notify and windows security center disable notify.firewall. Each time I clicked "fix" and they keep coming back. I am on IO, XP, and use McAfee antivirus and firewall protection.

Has anyone used this software or something like it? I installed it and it shows me X amount of drivers that need updating. But it requires a subscription to download the drivers from the site. So I have been googling the drivers and found several of them and reran the tests and I am still missing some-but not as many. Does anyone know of a program/site that will detect outdated drivers on my computer and let me download the updated ones for free? :hug:

hello all, My movies for whatever reason wont play the picture for the most part. Now SOME of them will play all right with zoom player, but no other players. I want to be able to play them all, with any player. I dont know what happened, or what i did, but they all used to be ok. I have: media player classic windows media player zoom player cyberlink power dvd vlc media player Any of these should play these movies. i have the klmcodec 143 and a k-lite codec pack file. any suggestions? thanks!

I noticed today that for whatever reason, i cant click on links that are posted in websites. For instance, the new link on this site that Tarun put on about the financial goal being halfway met, I tried it and my screen just sort of "flashes" and then nothing happens. I can get to sites if i google the address, or use my bookmarks, but cant get on links. I tried a number of sites, and it is the same everywhere. I ran my antivirus, all my spywarecleaners, ewido, ccleaner, defraged, etc, and nothing was found! Any suggestions? :hello:

I may be missing something here, but is there something in XP that allows me to burn a dvd copy of my own straight to another drive without having to burn to the hard drive first?

I see there are different packs to choose from. 1.Which pack is recommended for the average user like me? 2.I see it says to uninstall other codec packs first. What would they be refering to? 3. I have Shrink and Decrypter which are important to me, this K-lite pack will not interfere with these?

i'm having trouble downloading housecall. i have housecall control but i am unable to delete it. i'm thinking if i delete housecall control and try the download again it should work. can i use hijackthis to delete it?

Can some body please tell me what I did wrong in hotmail months ago? I can't figure out why the original message is jumbled and out of sync when I attempt to reply or forward it. ;)

any suggestions for a decent dvd burning program? all i need is something basic. i have been looking at nero. i tried finding some freeware but had no luck.

My parents use Hotmail and for some reason it changed the messages to show the last page first instead of the first page. I looked around a bit in hotmail and didn't see where that could be changed. You can change the lines of the email and how many to a page. But didn't see anything else. Does anyone know where this tool might be? Thanks

I am in my yahoo email and I'm downloading a file and it says it's going to my desktop, but I don't see it. I even clicked on the "desktop" on the file download and I still don't see it. Eh? What version of MSPaint allows you to save as jpgs? Reason I ask we're still using Office 97 and Paint won't let you save in anything bar bmp. And it's no use telling me to upgrade, this is at work. Have almost got to the stage where I have set up my latest computer to how I like, just got a few tweaks left to do. But what I now need to do is transfer the kids Messenger settings over, such as emoticons, etc. Once this is done I can then restore the old computer. Downloaded the Mess Patch, but am overwhelmed by the amount of settings that can be altered, I did however notice there were some preset profiles. As someone who does not actually use MSN Messenger, I am not sure what course to take. Can I get some pointers from you guys?
