I have been without my computer for a week and had a quick look at my e-mails on my daughter's computer. Seen I had a PM from the Lunarsoft site so clicked on it to read it, I answered, then closed the computer down. My daughter rang me the next day to say she had gone into the site (she likes to read the problems etc she's not a member) and it had welcomed her as me. This is a good reason for me to remember to log off any site I have to log into, I could have been using our local public library's free computer instead of my daughters. !!

G'day Tarun, not sure if this is a forum issue, or a browser setting issue, but when going through my CP and checking on the 'Subscription' panel the size of the panel overlaps the screen but does not show the horizontal scroll bar. I was still able to access the 'Checkbox' as it's just on the screen (see attached image) but was wondering if there are any more options on this panel that I was not able to see. If this is as clear as mud let me know and I'll see if I can explain it a little bit more clearly, hopefully though the image will show what I mean. Cheers ;)

I can't really say that it's a bug in this site, but this seems like the place to report what I've found out about the problems I was having posting on the Write in Blog and Add News pages. This problem only occurred in Firefox 1.5 nightly Branch builds from Sept 30 on, and 1.5 Beta 2. It happened with either Littlefox or Microfirefox, both of which are compact themes by Alfred Kayser. I posted this info in the author's thread on the Mozillazine Themes forum, as well. On the pages involved, I was able to type, but the text appeared in a larger font than it should. Previews appeared normal, but when Submit or Save were clicked, it was like nothing had been entered a…

G'day Tarun, I've got a request regards your linking. Can you redirect the link for your banner, whilst in these forums, to go back to the 'home' page instead of going to the front of these forums. Yes, in case you're wondering I'm motivationally challenged (read 'lazy') :eyeroll: when it comes to driving my mouse across the screen and like having links take me to where I want to go. If this is as clear as mud let me know and I'll try to be a little bit more succinct next time. Cheers :w00t:

G'day Tarun, just wondering if you have heaps of bandwidth for your site??? Reason I'm asking is that I've now noticed you've got a googlebot scanning this site, which is now the third time in as many days (see attachment). Having my own site, by disallowing bots to scan/access it, I've saved myself heaps of bandwidth per month, which ultimately saves me money. Just a FYI. Cheers PS: How the heck do you post pictures directly into posts without linking? Or has this been disabled?

Which of the below two ratings would be right, because I believe the overall rating should be the sum of all the ratings added together, divided by the amount of ratings. So, 98+92+94=284, therefore 284/3=94.6, meaning an overall rating of 95%. 95+95+90+98=378, therefore 378/4=94.5, meaning an overall rating of 95%. Or am I looking at this in a different perspective?

How about you create a malware removal tutorial and sticky it in the tech support forum? I've sent a lot of people to one on MajorGeeks, which has good advice, but it's so long and poorly-organized that a lot of people seem to have trouble following it. It would be great to have one I could send them to, with more confidence that they'll actually be able to complete it. Here's a link to that MajorGeeks tutorial, if you want to see what I mean: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35407

We have a notification for who's on/offline, so here's an image for online: Whatcha think? (I animated it since other sites had a boring one of it just being online/lit up only.)

Hi Tarun, I like the layout on this site. I do have a suggestion. After reading some of the stuff posted on here (and another site where you post) i noticed that some of the responses are a little bit technical. By that I mean when an answer is given by the staff, some of us (myself :( ) dont understand what exactly is being explained. Sometimes things need to be "dumbed down" a bit for those of us without a tech background. Just a friendly suggestion. :D

Composed a PM to Tarun, checked "Add a copy... to my sent items folder", previewed it, and sent it. There's nothing in my sent items; Tarun, did you get my message?

Why does Lunarsoft display differently on different computers? Image 1 The frontpage when viewed at home, looks OK. Image 2 The frontpage when viewed at work, looks OK. Image 3 The forum when viewed at home, looks OK. Image 4 The forum when viewed at work, looks bad.

Will you be including a link back to the frontpage from the forum, if there is one and I have missed it for some reason, then sorry.

Hello Tarun, First let me complement you on the way this site is growing and developing. As I do not have any of the skills I think you are looking for, may I comment on what I, as a "computer user" as opposed to a computer tech, would like to have here. A balanced site. One where the techs could get good info and grow in knowledge and people like myself would still feel comfortable and trust in the recommendations that were made. I would like to think that advising people would give a certain amount of satisfaction to the team you manage to get together, after all what good is wisdom if you don't share it! All for now

Welcome! If you're reading this post you may very well be interested in being a part of the News or Reviewers team. This post will contain a general overview of what is being looked for. Age is no issue, but maturity needs to be expressed in the writing. Ideal candidates will write original articles for the frontpage. If you have any experience, tell us about it! If you have a sample of previous work, that's an asset as well. Proper English, spelling and grammar skills are a must. Spellchecking documents is fine (even recommended if you feel unsure)! Software will be a key focus of the frontpage news. Hardware is also welcome. I'm very flexible with this t…
