kilo means thousand.

I know all that, it's just that trish has a high upload speed compared with the rest of us, I thought MrT's was quite good until trish posted hers.

I have 100/10 mbit/s, but I don't get that good on speedtest.net

I have 3 MB down and 768 up and i get just that which is awesome.

I love my download speed (2-3MB/s) I just wish my upload speed would be faster.

I'm working at my university - which used to host the .CA TLD servers. The servers are now elsewhere, but we got to keep the infrastructure. :)

Mine has gone up since my original post, but nowhere near as useful as Zxian's speeds. I wish a fraction (maybe one tenth or one eighth) of that upload speed would be mine.

well i did the test cannot post meter. but here is what i had 25822kb's on Download and had 1119 kb's on Upload iis correct other i screwed that up. ill try and post meter it the speed seems to be all over the place must have something to do with number of users using my broadband provider.

I did it twice to see what would happen, pretty consistent actually. :P

I got 100 mbit/s down, and 10 mbit/s up through my ISP which uses switched Ethernet technology.

I only pay €32 a month for it.

It is so fast that I can download 10 pornos at the same time, and chat, stream movies, stream radio, do VoIP, and play games online and it still wont lag!

When I download updates for Ubuntu, I get speed like 10 mbyte/s.

I download a 700 megabyte ISO file in minutes.

Thats pretty crazy. I dont think there is anything residential in the US that is that fast.(not affordable anyway).

I dont know if you can really take advantage of that right now though anyway. Most download servers are capping the download speeds for me now, so even more speed wouldn't make a difference.

I downloaded the last ubuntu in like 12 minutes from bittorent. Thats plenty fast right now.

I stream netflix movies on my xbox a lot, I'm getting 720p without a hiccup right now, maybe once they start doing 1080p I'll upgrade.
