I need to get some understanding of what Dial-a-fix does to permissions for .Net 2.0. I have a customer who ran DAF on several computers without first testing it with our web-based application which uses .Net controls. Afterwards, they can't even get the web pages to load completely due to multiple security warnings. Even after clicking Run, nothing happens and the pages still will not load. We have attempted to rerun our client installation package which includes a short routine to confirm some .Net settings for accessing sites in the Trusted Sites list, but it appears that DAF changed something elsewhere. Perhaps we should try uninstalling .Net Framework 2.0 …

Hello. I'm new to all this, so please bear with me. I received an error message when using dialafix. It reads, Error 127; C:\Windows\system32\iesetup dll is registerable or the file is corrupted. Your version of iesetup.dll is 8.00.6001.18702. Contact dial.a.fix @ DjLizard.net to make an exception for ths version. I think my current ver. is v.0.60.0.24. It also mentioned these certain files were not dll installable. The following files are not registerable nor installable. imgutil.dll inseng.dll mshtml.dll msrating.dll occache.dll pngfilt.dll webcheck.dll Please show me how to resolve this matter.

Hi, I downloaded your current Dial Fix program yesterday to fix the "Access Denied" error I was getting while trying to download XP Service Pack 3. After running the program and restarting I am know unable to connect to my email or internet. My wireless router is working. I went into DOS and did a ping test and was able to make a connection. Any idea what it removed or how to fix this? I am obviously not able to email you from my home as I cannot get onto the internet so I am unable to send you any information at this time. It did prompt me to do a "permissions" release or update - sorry don't have the software here to give you the right lingo. Thank you for any hel…

Using version 6.0.24 on XP to fix error with install of MSFAX. SFC scan requests sp3 cdROM, but will not recognize the slipstreamed CDROM I have. Do I need to have a specific disk name? The welcome file, SETUP.EXE apparently is the same as originally found on my original SP1 CD. Also, that CD name is a set of letters, not the name on my slipstreamed CD.

FYI: When I click the following link [ djlizard.net/software/Dial-a-fix-v0.60.0.24.zip ] and attempt to open the folder, I get the message "The compressed (zipped) Folder is invalid or corrupted." I get the same message if I save the file and open it. I visited the DAF site and downloaded the file directly from the secondary site, only to get the same result. I then successfully downloaded and opened the folder from the Primary site. A jpg of the error message is attached. - bud -

So I'm trying to install both a digital camera and a scanner to my printer and it will recognize the new hardware but before it completes the install it says "Windows could not load the installer for Image..." Short of reinstalling Windows XP, is there anything I can do? I had a similar problem with my CD Rom drive and ended up going to the registry and doing some stuff in there...could that sort of thing fix this too?

Well, Windows Updater stopped working for me for some reason. It kept on saying that it couldn't turn on and that I should try to turn it on manually. I tried, but it didn't work. Then I found this handy tool and hoped that it would help fix my problems. Everything was going fine until I got this error: Dial-a-fix kept running, and when it finished, I tried turning on Windows Updater, but it still wouldn't work. About a minute later, AVG detacted three new viruses on my computer and deleted them. All of them were Trojan Horse SHeur2.hsf viruses and all of them were found in my C:\FOUND.005 folder, which I haven't even heard of until just now. Please help. E…
