  1. Started by entre,

I tried to join this forum a few years ago, but had a problem getting the confirmation email. This time I tried a different email and got right in. I know a few of the members here from a different forum, and they were very knowledgeable, so I hope they're still around. I'm having a major computer problem right now, which I'll go post it in the Vista forum.

  2. Started by Steven,

Hello everyone, my name is Steven, I'm a 17 (soon to be 18) year old computer enthusiast with knowledge in Windows programming, online scripting, embedded systems (design and programming), and interface design. I'm also interesting in art, mathematics, literature, psychology, sociology, and philosophy. I'm currently debating whether to pursue a career in the social sciences or in computer science. I'm a huge Grammar Nazi, so I apologize in advance. Anyway, I look forward to meeting new people and helping out around here. :)

Hi, I have been an occasional lurker on these forums ever since I took advice from Tarun over on GWguru, I have finally overcome my fear here caused by not understanding anything anyone says by being terrified of something stranger than usual happening on my pc ^^ Oh and great smilies :fish:

I don't know why I'm here. I slammed my face into my keyboard and hit enter to get here. It looked like a cool place, so I signed up. I heard that cool Malware Toolkit thing being talked about in a game I play. I can't remember who was talking about it though. Anyways, hey. I'm Ultric.

Hello, I am a "Newbie" and hope to learn how to protect myself from all of these nasty worms, viruses and bugs that are out there to maliciously hurt innocent browsers.

Since I have watched this site for a while I thought it was time I signed in - I watched Tarun's postings on this site and on MBAM forum for a while and then followed into this forum - I have already used some of the ideas here previously, and added 1 posting today - As I am semi retired (disability) I have more time to look at, and hopefully add to a forum like this - Now I have this site locked into Favorites I can access this a lot quicker and more often - Sorry if you don't like my way of writing and finishing a line/post with - and not the normal .. but that is also how you will notice me - I said there were things I liked here such as reviews etc. on products …

Just wanted to say hi. I am glad to be here. Although I have used computers for a long time, I have not really kept up well. Now my goal is to become truly knowledgable in both MS Office suite, Outlook, and Vista + 7 when it is time to switch to that. In my office I am the closest they have to a tech support person so I will have questions for a while, but am happy to answer others' questions too as soon as I am able to. --Mike--

I'm new to the forum here some things about me: I'm from Belgium(Flemish side) I'm 14 years old.(young i know) I'm interested in computers and other things related to it. That's why I'm going to study informatics when I'm going to high school. Interests: Like I said above and: playing games like : Call of Duty , Guild Wars (explaining my user name), etc. my preference goes to FPS and RTS. P.S. I like blue and i usually post my posts in blue, tell me if that isn't allowed hehe. I hope my age doesn't give you any misunderstanding about my personality like some do. Keep in mind i'm still a newbie

Hi Folks, I've been working with computers for many years now, mostly unix/linux based systems but I also support windows systems as well. I came upon your site while researching the AVG issue and am very impressed with your sites content! I look forward to learning new things here regarding windows security, and hopefully make a few new friends in the process. Rich Holland
