Microsoft should be giving you a lot of money for fixing a big problem. I think they need a wakeup call on this one. I work on a lot of PC's and I will be spreading the word about "Lunarsoft.net" and "Dial-a-Fix" you people are the best!!! I plan on spending a lot of time sending people to you and suggesting a contribution. I just can't say enough, please except a THANK YOU for now. Yes, you are bookmarked forever. Once again "THANK YOU"!!!!! Steve.

I'm Tarq57, from NZ. Basically I'm beginner/intermediate in 'pooter ability, pretty good with some things (like securing an XP home desktop using freeware) and a bit average with some others, like, say, everything else. I'm a member at a few other forums, including Scott's newsletter, Ccleaner, Wilders, Spyware Warrior, and Avast, help at the level I can, and try and learn a bit from the rest. First ever forum experience was at "tips and tricks for windows98", run by a very helpful character called Mesich. He diagnosed and fixed my totally borked browser in a few exchanges involving downloading a new .dll file. From that time on I have been trying to pay it forward. S…

Just discovered this site today while looking for JavaRa. Looks like a site to add to my bookmarks. I am currently using a laptop with Vista. I plan to build a desk top soon, and am considering Linux as the OS. I was thinking Fedora, but have heard Ubuntu mentioned a lot lately. Any feedback?

 I have my own Computer Repair Service. I run this service from my home, which started as growing interest in fixing my own systems, when I found the OEM’s were not able to. This by NO MEANS, indicates that I do not appreciate their continued help or efforts to make the repairs. I have found that almost every OEM Technician has good knowledge of their product. However they are not trained in the software that backs the hardware in the systems. Such as ACPI, Controllers and in the most surprising case is that they are given very little information on the BIOS updates that are offered to the system you own. After conferring with several OEM managers they all …

Hello and greetings to all, from North Carolina. TheWizardsBear (thewizardsbear@aol.com) is an independent user based testing facility for numerous Beta programs (commercial/freeware/shareware/GNU) and often run tests for developers, recreating a vast myriad of situations to test their programs capabilties and help stomp on those pesky bugs. We DO NOT DO PROGRAMMING, we merely test, more often than not on request of users who are having problems with a Commercial end product (70% of the time problem is failure to read users guide or user knowledge), or BETA/Shareware/Freeware/GNU developers who just want our spin on their product. We are NOT a FEE BAS…

Hello All, I had a problem getting any updates from Microsoft and I googled for the error message. Microsoft has a published fix, but it does not work. I then tried your Dial-a-fix software and all is rosy in my computer. As usual, I ran the software without reading the caveats, but it still ran seamlessly. Anyway, my name is Barry, from Pretoria in South Africa. I have just reached my 60th year, but still very young at heart. My first PC was an Apple II which I purchased in 1980 and I've been hooked ever since. My current PC is a hybrid which I built myself (as I have done for all my PCs since about 1990. It is an Asus P5K-VM with Intel E4600 (2.4Ghz) an…

I have recently had good reason to reboot my XP OS. Since then tho' I have had a few probs, some of which I have managed to solve myself, the latest was 'update installation failure'. I got help from Microsoft for that via "Dial-a-fix, " worked brilliant. NOW, since that problem started I have another which I considered less important, but now is at the top of my list. Sometimes when I am typing, more so when playing games, the letters/ sounds/ and mouse pointer "stutters", e.g. starts, then stops, starts again and so on, at a rate of around once per second. Can anyone tell me how to solve this, I know I should know, but after all my probs lately my brain hurts when try…
