As a newbie in the forum, with the tech knowledge of a "virgin" as well as the understanding as such, it is necessary for me to try to forward my comprehension issues along with my computer woes. I recently installed a registry cleaner program which was supposed to "HELP" . After running it I was not comfortable with what it recommended, so I decided to un-install it. Big mistake on my part as it removed virtually every program from my "Start>All Programs" section, at the time I thought it was part of the uninstall. Now I'm left wondering how to retrieve the programs not there. This program also removed the "System Restore" from "accessories" and I have no idea how to …

Hi I am new here, but not to Dial-A-Fix. My wife actually was the person who told me about this product while on one of her extended surfing adventures a few years back. I remember downloading and using it, but when we upgraded to new computers I lost it. Now I have found it again. I like the small size and ease of use. So far no problems to report. Thanks

Hello Lunarsoft I am new here and go under the name of Impi. Impi is a Zulu word for warrior. My problem: When I boot up - I get the following message: Check System Health! Vcore = 2V <CPU ID:0673 Patch ID: 000E> My system is Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 4 Can any one tell me how I can sort this out. I recently had a lot of Spam and downloaded SPAMfighter which seemed to bring the spam under control. However the system seemed to go downhill from there and started re-booting of its own accord. This would happen about twice a day. It was also very slow. After much stress ( I am not a computer fundi but dabble a little trying to understa…

I admit I'm not a power user, but I thought I could fix my laptop. It wasn't installing Windows updates. So I went to the MS web site and read about Dial a fix. I didn't check available disk space before I ran it, but about a month ago I ran a disk defrag and had plenty of disk space (18 GB disk). After I ran DAF, I got a warning about running out of disk space. Sure enough, there's only 400 MB left on my disk. Can someone tell me what to do now? Thanks, lput

Hi everyone, I've been reading everything here and its pretty accurate stuff, I'll make some suggestions soon to help improve this great site information. I troubleshoot and fix computer problems every day 12 hours a day, sometimes more if my wife doesn't catch me at my computer. I support client all over the world remotely. I have a love / hate relationship with Malware and Viruses and other Nasty's out there inthe wild, as I make a good living off other peoples problems fixing the issues. But I'll retire soon to my private little Island if the Phillippines soon, so I'll share my experience and knowledge here so others can help and maybe make some bucks too, hehe!!! If t…

Greetings. My name is Norberto and I am a laptop dependent real estate broker in Colorado Springs, CO. I found Dial-A-Fix in the midst of a hair ripping Windows/Office/IE7/and who knows what else problem that led to a 3 day disk backup, reformat, restoral process/bad nightmare. Just to give an idea, it took me 20 minutes to close browser windows, an Excel spreadsheet, and Outlook, after all this, just so I can feel comfortable with my new BFF. Wow! Ran the program, opened Outlook, IE, Excel...all within a minute, or so. Wow. And thanks! :jump:

  23. Started by bpb,

I've been working on computers for about as long as I can remember and have always worked with not-quite-working PCs or had a job in a...to put it mildly...unorganized IT department. So, I'm always on the lookout for utilities, fixes, etc. Dial-a-fix has been a great find; people ask me where I find all this software and usually I end up referring them to Dial-a-fix. Even though I've just migrated to WinVista x64 (because I like a challenge!) most people haven't so I'm still finding Dial-a-fix useful. Also, I'm trying to stay ahead of the curve as far as PC problems go (hence the Win Vista move). Anyway, thanks for a great product and I hope to come across more on he…

I just downloaded the software and going thru the paces. I have three computers and only one is infected at this point. I have tried a few things but not there yet so thought I would try this approach. Your software was recommended by a friend. I am not a real knowledgeable user as far as in the internal workings are concerned but can understand instructions ok. Thanks Larryb227
