  2. For those who are wondering why there have been no releases these past two months now, the reason is we are developing version 2.0 of the Anti-Malware Toolkit. Everything is being done from scratch. AMT version 1 will only receive bugfixes as they are reported until AMT 2 is released to the public. We are looking forward to the release of version two, though it will still be some time before the public release.

  3. In attempting to track a windows update problem I have encountered additional problems. After downloading and installing the Anti-Malware_toolkit recommended programs, Some will not run to completion (SpybotS&D, Hijackthis among others) Retry by clicking on icon results in the following error: "Windows can not access specified device. You may not have appropriate permissions to access this item" I ran the PC-Cleanup to the letter but no good results. I have run Dial-A_ Fix numerous times. Any suggestions?

I really just stumbled across Lunarsoft and I'm still feeling my way around but I thought I would mention that AMT is really a neat little app and I look forward to using the next release. I may have a question or two regarding best practices with using AMT on a system that already has a few of the applications installed but it can wait. Mike

As some of you may have noticed, or usual monthly release has been delayed. This is because we are re-evaluating all of our coding methods and re-ordering things for future progression and smoothness. There will be a few new things in our next version, including logging. :D

A few minor bugs have been fixed along with an improvement to the detection of Windows Server 2003. A menu has been added to open the folder that the user specifies to download to. Error handling has been improved as well, which will help to resolve any errors that occur in the future. Get ready to say goodbye to the current package titles of Lite, Standard and Professional. New packages will be in the next version that will automatically set to your detected OS. This will allow users to download packages for the OS they desire.

New things are coming to the Anti-Malware Toolkit in the upcoming release. At this time we're heavily beta testing the application to ensure there will be virtually no bugs in the next release. Some hints of what's coming is proper detection of the computer architecture, which means if you're on a 64bit OS or 32 bit the AMT will report it to you. Our theme detection has improved. Now Vista and Windows 7 will show the proper checkmarks in the treeview list. A big coming feature is the ability to right click the program and select Install from the context menu that appears. It will check and see if the file has been downloaded and launch it if it has been downloade…

  19. Hi, Using the current versionv 1.07.169 , and tried on a variety of Win2000sp4, WinXPsp3, VistaSP1, and Win7beta systems, from multiple locations, Broadband speeds, and ISPs, AMT constantly crashes with a GPF/UAE error, and the good ole Windows error box pops up... "AMT has encountered a problem and needs to close" This can be during downloading various apps into the default local download dir. Occasionally AMT may complete without failure, esp if you only choose a small signature file to download. I hate to say it, but this build appears very flaky and unable to cope very well with network delays, connection failures, download stalls, or some other transient in…

HI, The AntiMalware Toolkit seems to be a very useful application with lots of potential however there seems to be a few limitations. Does the AMT check version numbers or at least dates and times on the items downloaded to ensure they are up to date and to prevent downloading files which are already at the most current version? Is there anyway to add custom downloads? Kind Regards Simon
