I am tired of having to run programs at less than max settings so.... Well, basicall I am putting new organs into my PC shell, absolutely everything is being maxed. I have a monitor, sound system and tower which i wanna keep, also all the periferals etc are ok. Below is basically what i was thinking of getting. With your help i would like to find out whether all this is compatible, and if there is anything better i can use instead. Cost does not matter at all. Also if i have missed anything then please say. First thing to point out would be, I have no RAM and i found it hard to find the best stuff online as lots of different websites gave different results. So …

Right, we've had a wireless network set up here for years now, everything works fine. Two laptops and a desktop all connected, but then a week or so ago my desktop went so crazy I had to re-install XP on it, this f***ed up my drivers and stuff so I had to re-install my wireless card...and now it connects to the network fine, but can't access the internet. I tried re-booting the computer & the router, uninstalling/reinstalling both, ipconfig/release then /renew. Nothing seems to work :\ Any suggestions? Please...before I go crazy, I HATE having to use the **** laptops -_-

I posted this on the CCleaner forum as well: I was resuming Windows from hibernation, and I got a black screen that said Master Hard Disk: S.M.A.R.T. Command Failed Press F1 to Resume I don't know what this means, but I think that it's really bad. I need my computer to last until August, but I think that this error has something to do with my HD failing. I am going to Google now, but if anyone has some knowledgable suggestions it will be much appreciated. I'm not very good at troubleshooting hardware. Thanks K

This has been going on for awhile now and not sure it's Not the mouse.....BUT.... I'll be playing a game (off line, sometimes) and clicking on things in here to switch to different subjects and my mouse acts like it's a double click. (I have it on single click) I really don't think it's the games, I've been having them for years. Played them a lot when I wasn't hooked up to this magnificent Dial Up I have and it still did it. Do you think it's my mouse, or is there another problem out there I'm not aware of? And yes, I have every update there is and prolly then some. ( I have a logitech mouse) Thanks

Okay. So early this morning I decided to check my router's manufacturer website for upgrades. (Bad idea ) I installed the one available. Now the other computer on the network cannot connect to the internet. It says that a connect is established, and excellent yet you can't access the interent. After hours of reconfiguring over-and-over I uninstalled the router, and deleted the upgrade then rebooted. The wireless computer still can't connect to the internet, but the connection is there. I have totally ran out of ideas. Except that I did notice that my Routing and Remote Access Service won't start. It gives the error code 340, but that code doesn't match M…

I am getting ready to buy a new computer in about a week. I want to put the older computer I have in my bedroom. I know i need a router, but what kind specifically? I want to be able to access the internet on both pc's and use one printer. And if someone got ambitious and put a how to on here about home networking, That would be okay too. Because i really have no idea what i am doin when it comes to routers and networking. :)

Ok, Im going to give a bit of background info on my problem becuase you will think its really weird if i don't. My dad's buisness came into our house and installed a bunch of hardware and cables for his house office so that he can connect to his buisness's network from the house. Because our house is networked, they installed a hardware fireall//router. The technology guys who put the firewall in never left us a password to open and close ports and change other settings. Now that my dad got moved over to a DSL line (dunno why) and we are still on cable, the firewall doesnt matter anymore. Any way i can reset the firewall back to its factory settings with default password…
