this is my favorite game so much so i made my own mod that can be extracted by Winrar into the game directory and you have a TOTALLY new game i belonged to 5 mod teams at onetime i did not public release my mod its personal use but i did my own coding editing particle and fx effects. and i enjoy messing with it and made own weapons for units in the game and even created the weapon obj and such along with locomotor to make weapon work. did my own music INI and added own music score for the USA factions in game and if you want to go back to original game you just delete the big file of mod from directory so its like a hobby AND I GET TO BLOW STUFF UP HA HA

Do they exist? I know there are loads of open-source game,s but many are multi-player. Any good single-player ones, that aren't just bots, as in proper missions? I'm asking as my uni house currently doesn't have wireless...

i've recently found out about a game called Mu Online. it's pretty cool. the gameplay is similar to that of Diablo II but the game itself is made by another company. there are also major diffrences between the 2 games but Mu is still pretty fun. there are also 2 free-2-play servers which don't give a lot of experiance(as opposed to the pay-2-play server Valhalla) but are still pretty fun to play in.

I have heard about War§ow before, but didn't end up trying it as I don't play so much games. Recently, after hearing it being good, I decided to download and try it out. It is an multiplayer-only (no single-player) FPS (first person shooter) game. The graphics is cell-shaded so it has a bit distinct look. The game-play is interesting too, the gameplay is focussed around the art of movement, meaning moving, speed and tricks play a big part in the gameplay. Its included in the Cyberathlete Amateur League (CPL). You can like run and jump up against a wall and bounce of it. * http://www.warsow.net/ * http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War%C2%A7ow It is free ope…

I found a game called Sauerbraten, its a free, open source game. Its a FPS (First Person Shooter), like Quake and the such. Its main developer is Wouter van Oortmerssen, which is one of the guys who was making Far Cry. It doesn't got so many weapons, but its pretty decent graphics. Good if you don't want to spend money on a game, or to have something to play in school or at work. It has pretty strange menus and stuff. When you start the game, press "Esc", and choose Multiplayer, then "Server Browser", and join a game to play multiplayer, but you can play it on LAN too. There seems to be some kind single-player mode too. Official Website Sauerbraten on Wikiped…

G'day folks, anyone else out there play WoW? I'm interested in what servers people play on, reason I ask is that I'm looking to join guilds that are actually populated by grown-ups and not script kiddies My characters are scattered over 5 servers at last count, currently have 8 characters, highest 30+, 3 over 15, and a lot of little ones. The little ones are my try before I play options, to see whether I like the race/profession combination before I spend more time on them. So, raise your hand if you're a WoW player and we'll see if we can hook up. Cheers PS: Currently don't play BC, but will have it shortly.

Microsoft on Wednesday announced that it will be creating a new video game studio in collaboration with "Lord of the Rings" and "King Kong" director Peter Jackson. The studio, which will be called Wingnut Interactive, will be a joint partnership between Microsoft Game Studios and its subsidiary studio, Bungie. It will work on the creation of a new title in the hit "Halo" series of games. Jackson and his Academy Award-winning screenwriter, Fran Walsh, will be directly involved in the creation of the new "Halo" title. G'day, I've noticed somewhere, for the life of me can't remember where I saw it though, that you also play 'Americas Army'. Downloaded, installed, registered, blah, blah, blah..... Finished my first training session - Marksmanship (got Sharpshooter for it ) and am now trying to get through the flippin' Obstacle Course. Have had 11 attempts at it but always run out of time, normally 4-6 seconds too slow I currently use keyboard and mouse to navigate as for some reason the game doesn't recognise my Sidewinder, but with my fingers getting tangled up I don't finish in time as stated. Soooo, what I'm after is any tips to get through this without swearing…

ok so as some of you already know i had to reformat. Now i have re-downloaded AA but i can't get pass the MOUT training. I got too {guess the word} to do it properly that as soon as i finished it and exit the door I shoot the instructer dude..... I tried using the pistol - but it's rubbish for long range I tried the rifle- not too bad only a few points out (i got 9900 or something like that, around 8-9k usually) Also how do you turn on the night vision? I just can't seem to find the right button.... the main problem is I am always sooo close to passing it... Is there any technic to get through that part?

Thats right, GunZ online and Eve Online, imo, are probably one of the better (but probably not best) mmorpgs that I've played this year (if you would consider GunZ an rpg). I've played WoW and Guild wars, which I admit (being a faithful gamer) that they are amazing and addicting games, but if its complexity and freedom you want, Eve can give that to you. I haven't gotten that far in the game (theres not really any end) but from what I can see it is like this....you upgrade your ship (crap loads of upgrades), the graphics are decent, you can mine, fight pirates, other players, work for a corporation doing missions (corporations owned by both humans and npcs), star…

I don't know whether Sudoku spread the world like it did the UK in 2005, but it seemed everyone was at it over here, with so many websites and programmers jumping on the bandwagon. Anyway, now you can get a free download of it which generates a new puzzle everytime. It is an Excel file but can be played with Open Office, although it looks better in Excel. You will have to enable macros with each program however. Download it here: http://www.computeractive.co.uk/sudoku

I couldn't decide where this belonged. I think it's funny, it's gamer news, I don't know. It seems the World of Warcraft programmers put in a dungeon where you confront the dreadful Hakkar, god of blood. If you kill him, he infects you with "corrupted blood", which kills weaker characters instantly, and severely weakens the stronger ones. It's only supposed to infect those in the area of his corpse, but some bright player figured out a way to spread this disease out in the virtual world. Soon the virtual streets became littered with virtual bodies. A couple links: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/4272418.stm BBC NEWS | Technology | Deadly plague hits Wa…
