Versions 8 and up of Adobe Reader have annoying pop-ups to show you that the auto-updater is doing what it is designed to do. One of the side-effects is that it temporarily can freeze-up your system. You are able to disable this auto-update feature by following the next easy steps: - Open Adobe Reader by double clicking its icon; - Goto 'Help' - Goto 'Check for Updates' - Hit 'Preferences' - Uncheck 'Automatically check for Adobe updates'

I'm sure you may have been to the movies and seen the digital menu boards they have out now. I'm looking to make my own. I'm here to request assistance with the building of it. I've come to the conclusion that it would be best if done in flash, thoughts? Regardless, I'm interested in distributing one to a minimum of five locations to start and would like a quick one created. If anyone has the knowledge and time to throw something together which I could display, we could work off of a commission basis. If you may be interested or have any thoughts/comments, let me know! Thanks. Mike S.

I went to Auslogics' site to see about the new Reg Defrag update, v 5.2.19.450, it says the program costs $19.95. It didn't say how long the license is for. It does say you can get it as a free trial, but I couldn't find anywhere it said what the limitation on the free trial is. I didn't download the update.

Hi Guys, My mum is WhiteRose, she said you would be able to advice me with this question. I download videos from YouTube and various other places (all mustic related) to put on my mobile phone. I used to use Easy Video Downloader, but after I installed a new Antivirus, as soon as I clicked on the Easy Video icon, a warning flashed on the screen telling me that it had 3 Trojans. So my mum told me to find another video downloader. I've done a search on Google, but a couple came up with Trojan warnings. Now I'm scared of trying any of them. Does anyone know of a good Video Downloader they have used and know is safe. Thanks a lot. Jason

Now i have a question about Comodo AV : Is it a good one? And another question about Comodo Firewall: When you right click on the icon in the right corner of the screen. and you go to ''configuration" you see 4 options : Firewall Security , Internet Security , Protactive Security and Virus Security. Can someone tell me more about that? I got some questions bout ''Firewall security'' and ''defense + secuirty level'' Which level is the best? Thanks

ERUNT saved the day for me yesterday, I was able to restore the registry and fix Windows XP when it would only boot to a black screen. Any Windows NT/2000/2003/XP/Vista user who isn't running this great little registry backup/restore utility, I'm telling you - you really should get it. As for Dr. Web CureIT - it's a handy stand-alone AV scanner, but if it's going to wreak this kind of havoc it's not worth using. I sent feedback to the vendor, to see if they have an explanation - and it better be a good one! What happened was - I downloaded the latest CureIT (the only way to update it), set it to run at low priority (it has a slider for this), and selected an "Expre…

I thought this may be of some interest, it's freeware and another tool to battle Malware with, http://www.norman.com/Virus/Virus_removal_tools/en This is a utility that may be used to detect and remove specific malicious software (malware). Note that it should not be used as a substitute for running normal proactive antivirus protection, but rather as a reactive tool to handle systems that are already infected. Also there is a Special program to clean computers infected by SinowalMBR rootkit and a Special program to clean computers infected by Vundo there as well. From the Author By downloading and running the program below it will clean an infected syst…

Hello, I'm looking for a way to synchronize some Outlook 2007 data (calendar, contacts) on different computers. As an independent commercial agent I am much on the way and therefore seek a possibility to access my working folders and important files from my Notebook and Desktop Pc. I'm not sure how many of you already know about this program but its basically microsofts new free email client. Here is a link: http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview Its not even closely related to outlook express(meaning it doesn't suck). Its got a great interface and is easy to configure. It does everything you would want an email client to do. Here is what I really like about it though: free pop access to live.com email(new hotmail). Whats really cool though is that it syncs with live in a way that however you change your mail on the site or in the client it knows. So you get the benefit of webmail(same wherever you log in) with the benefit of having a dedicated c…
