  2. This is a complete suite, with its brilliant firewall, and anti-spam, anti-spyware, and anti-virus. Judging by how brilliant everything else was, this could be excellent. Thoughts? http://www.agnitum.com/products/security-suite/index.php

I have not had a PDF reader installed in forever. Because the Adobe PDF reader was so slow, resource hungry and bloated. I've been looking around a bit for alternatives, but not found anyone that I wanted to try it out. I recently stumbled upon "Sumatra PDF" by mistake, and it's a great piece of software. It is a free software, open source, PDF viewer for Windows that is very small, quick and fast. It is released under the GNU General Public License (GPL). It is just 973 kilobyte. It is just one file with no external dependencies, so its portable, and can be used on a USB flash memory too. http://blog.kowalczyk.info/software/sumatrapdf/

  17. Started by trish4323,

I got this message on Outlook when trying to delete an email, also I realized that I haven't received incoming email. This just happened last night. So I went to the "help" menu and got instructions on how to use the inbox repair tool, and I am completely stumped as it's telling me to select a .pst or .ost file to scan and I have no clue about that. Can you help me, or do you need more information? Thanks!

  18. You know the basic open folder icon? I'm looking for a variation of different colours of them. From here I got the XP Folders, which had some cool software ones, but for the desktop, they don't look polished. There are some brilliant ones in XP iCandy, but only Green, Blue, and Grey. I'm in need of Grey, Green, Purple, and Pink, and more, if you know. Many thanks.

  19. Started by Ultimate Predator,

I have Nero 6 Reloaded, and I thought I'd finally upgrade (despite the errors sometimes people have with it) to Nero 7 Reloaded. So I downloaded it, installed, everything seemed to be going fine. I then went to uninstall Nero 6 Reloaded (which it hadn't written over), and it said I must uninstall Nero 7 before uninstalling Nero 6. Seemed strange, but I did it, restarted my PC to go and uninstall Nero 6, and my CD/DVD drives had disappeared from My Computer! I did a System Restore, and all is fine now, but take heed, stick to Nero 6 Reloaded, or go to somehting else (I think I will now, just can't find anything as good as Nero's Recode DVD).

  21. Started by Capman,

So, who's tried Recuva here? How many deleted files is it finding for you? I have been getting about 3000 on the main computer in work, and about 600-700 on my main computer at home. Probably about half of the files that it is finding on my computer at home are unrecoverable though.

What is it? TurboChat is a way to quickly load your IM chat clients with a simple double click (or single click if in the Quick Launch bar! What IM clients does it support? Currently it will support AIM, WLM (formerly MSN), YIM, XFire, GAIM and Trillian! Why did you make this? I made this application because I used to run a few IM clients and one day I was tired of going to Start > Programs > {IM Client Shortcut). With this application, I could load whichever I wanted with one or two clicks. What does this application do? On your first run it will ask you which IM clients you want to load. After it loads the selected IM clients, it exits quickly. It …

  24. Started by Eldmannen,

Hello! This post is about disk partitions and why they are so great! They are so great, that in fact everyone should have one! A good idea is to partition your hard disk to have 2 partitions. This way you can have your operating system and system files on one partition (the primary partition) which usually is C: Then you can have another secondary partition which is D: where you store any other data such as media files (music, movies) and all sorts of stuff. Maybe you have a 100 gb hard disk. Then you can allocate for example 20 gb to have on a system/primary partition (C:) where you have for example Windows XP. Then the rest (80 gb) you have on your second…
